From early 1929 to mid 1933, he produced 100 large-scale woodblock prints in his Rakuzan studio, carving and printing them for sale. Primarily producing woodblock prints for the overseas market, his work rarely appeared in the Japanese market.  He initially produced 200 copies of each of his designs. Subsequently, because of their immense popularity, his prints did not include limited edition numbers. Instead, he changed the color, signature, and watermark on the washi paper with each edition of reprints.
