A very charming 1920s Satsuma Tea Set marked with the Shimazu Family Crest and Maru Ten. Complete with 5 cups and saucers (as well as a 6th spare cup), a bowl and creamer and 3 sweet plates. All decorated with a fine pattern of pink and white cherry blossoms and daisies. The stamp on the base indicates Maruni & Co, Isokami Dori 6, Chome, Kobe. Maruni & Co were in operation till around 1938. The mark on the base is the Shimazu family crest of Maru over the words Maru meaning circular or round and the number 10. In very good condition with no cracks or ships (please see images).
