1880s Kabuki Play Woodblock Print

An original Meiji era Oban woodblock print by an unknown artist depicting actors in a Kabuki Play. Estimated to be a single panel from a Diptych or Triptych woodblock print.   In excellent condition with vibrant colours still intact.  The works on the yellow cartouche loosely translates as “surprised glance”.

Approximate dimensions are 37 cm Height and 25 cm Width
