If you are regular visitor to Japan its likely you have your favourite places that you never tire of visiting. Hamacho is our favourite Restaurant in Kyoto. Hamacho Four Seasons Restaurant nestled in a laneway next to the Royal Park Hotel, Sanjo Dori is that place. In a town where you can find lots of good eateries this place stands out as next level. Unlike many new restaurants it appears to have stood the test of time and covid and still has a loyal following of locals and well informed travellers.
Hamacho has three levels of dining available. We always try to sit at the counter watching the “Master” at work or in a booth in close proximity to all the action.
