Shipping FAQs

We will endeavour to offer the most economical shipping cost when you order multiple items.  

Items over 2000 AUD in value will include free shipping.

For domestic shipments in Australia and many international shipment, we apply Australia Post shipping costs, plus the cost of any packaging. 

For international shipments over 2000 AUD we apply shipping costs for Pack And Send or DHL.

For many products we use recycled paper and other items to pack your order.  All our products are shipped with tracking ID.  Some items also include  Signature on Delivery. 

All duty and tariffs are not included and will need to be paid to your local Customs in your country of arrival.

All orders have up to AUD 100.00 insurance cover for loss or breakage.  If you wish to insure your order for a higher amount in line with the value of your order please contact us for a quotation.  Although we take great care to pack every order, we recommend insurance for more fragile items.

We store and ship all our prints and scrolls with polypropolene bags.  Polypropolene is an museum standard archival product, used for long term storage of artwork.  All artwork is shipped in a flat pack, except for larger artwork which are shipped in a square tube.

We ship to many countries including Europe, Asia, Canada and the USA.  For shipments to the USA please contact us for a quotation which includes shipping and all tariffs which are applied by US Customs.  These tariffs have to be paid at the time of shipment from Australia.

We use Australia Post for domestic shipping and most international shipments.  Some items are shipped internationally via Pack And Send.

If you require insurance with your shipment please contract us for a quotation.

  1. All our prints are stored and shipped in archival standard polypropylene bags. 
  2. Our scrolls are also stored and shipped in archival standard polypropylene bags where possible.

If you are ordering something as a present and would like to include a personal message we are happy to add your message with the shipment, provided you let us know as the time you place your order.

Payment FAQs

We accept PayPal and Bank Transfer to our nominated account.  Your order will be shipped within 2 business days of the funds being received into our account.

If you select Direct Bank Transfer as your payment method you will receive an email confirming our Bank Details for the transfer of funds.  Please check your Spam folder as the email may be delivered there. 

We use PayPal and Direct Debit as options for payment of your purchases.  Please ensure that when using PayPal you specify the shipping address that is identical to the address on your PayPal profile.

We take great care to describe the items we have on sale in an honest and realistic manner. This includes the images for each item.  We encourage you to ask us about these items before making a purchase so you can be confident in your purchase. 

You are able to cancel your order, provided we have not shipped the items you ordered.  Once we have shipped your order, it is not possible to cancel your order or ask for a refund.

If you selected the Direct Debit option when you purchase your item you will receive an email with the details needed to make your Direct Debit payment to our account.  On receipt of the funds your goods will be shipped and you will be notified of the tracking details.  Please check your Spam Folder if the email does not show up in your Inbox.

Product & Privacy FAQs

Kasasagi purchases all our incence directly from Shoyeido’s  Head Office in Kyoto.

All our products are personally sourced by us directly from Japan over the past 25 years.  

  1. We have a collection og genuine Original and reproduction woodblock prints by various artists.  Some of our original prints are from the EDO era (mid 1800s) and others were reproduced from the 1890s the late 1900s.  We also have woodblock prints which have been reproduced from 2015 onwards under the seal of the artist or their family.  
  2. Our Lithographs, Scrolls and Katagami are original dating from the1800s.
  1. We are not an authorized valuer.  Any estimate we may provide is based on our experience of the Japanese marketplace.  We encourage you to seek valuations or estimates from a reputable auction house who has a history or dealing with Japanese items.

We have several levels of security and processes in place to protect us and our customers.  In addition to using technologies such as VPN we also use Cloudflare and other levels of authentication.   We have dedicated firewalls, SSL certificates, Log in security, IP white listing, Application isolation and database security. In addition we also use Turnstile which adds another level of security and does away with the need for reCAPTCHA which can be tiresome and frustrating when all you want to do is access the site as a genuine customer.

  1. We have very stringent security policies in place.  We do not retain your confidential data and we do not share any information about our customers with third parties. 
  2. We only retain your email ID as we send e-cards and bulletins out on some occasions.

We take the confidential information of our customer’s and our business very seriously.  You entrust us with your important information and we are serious about ensuring we protect your information.  We have several levels of security in place to protect you and our business which are outlined in other questions on security of data.
